The Agawa Canyon team blends a love for the outdoors with industrial design and engineering talent to create exceptional gear for the outdoor adventurer.

Our Philosophy Our product development philosophy is simple:

1) Pursue product development only when it is clear that our design will create the best available product.

2) Design products that can be configured and customized to meet the varying needs of the user.

3) Use the latest in materials science technology; however, incorporate natural materials and hand craftsmanship wherever possible.

Luke Watson is a late blooming entrepreneur with a life-long passion for wilderness canoeing and the outdoors. Throughout his career, Luke has found himself immersed in the development of several, state-of-the-art analytical instruments serving the biotech industry and - most recently - in the development of a revolutionary new, zinc-air energy storage device. His sojourns into the Canadian wilderness have provided a marvellous counterpoint and release from the pressure-cooker environment of new product development. Luke is blessed to be married and have two, twenty something sons now entering this brave new world…

Hank Samulski has spent much of his career in Manufacturing but whenever the opportunity afforded itself would spend time “on the land”. A year’s worth of that time has been spent, traveling down wilderness rivers with friends and family wondering what is around the next bend.

Graham Beck has turned his passion for how things work into a career as an industrial designer. He's well-versed in exhibit and retail designs, prototyping, manufacturing and product design. When he's not off designing and creating something new, you can find him with his wife and three sons.

  Brad Rothwell is a creative specialist and trained industrial designer. Working within the field of film and television art directing he has learned to dream big and push the creative goals of every project he's part of. If he's not in the studio he's on the trail looking for adventure and pushing his gear to its limits.
